2004 Olympic all around Champion Carly Patterson had a beautiful wedding in Dallas, Texas on Saturday evening. She wed 27-year-old Mark Caldwell, an Accenture strategy consultant.

According to People, Patterson and Caldwell exchanged vows in front of 250 guests. The event had a southern theme and the venue was decorated in gold, silver, and pearl with touches of Carly’s favorite color green. The bride wore a strapless Vera Vang dress.

At the 2004 Summer Olympics, Carly Patterson became the first American woman in 20 years to win the Olympic All Around Gold medal since Mary Lou Retton in 1984.

Patterson began in elite competition in 2000 and won her first major elite title two years later in claiming the 2002 Junior National title. She turned senior the following year and won All Around Silver and Team Gold at the 2003 World Championships. In 2004, she and soon-to-be Olympic teammate Courtney Kupets tied for the U.S. National title. In addition to Olympic all around gold, Carly also left the Athens Games with balance beam silver and team silver.

In 2006, Patterson officially retired from gymnastics and enjoyed a short music career. Currently, Patterson is pursuing an Associate's degree and residing in Allen, Texas.
