ANTWERP (BEL), FIG Office, September 28, 2013: The FIG Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Technical Committee has announced that a total of sixteen submitted new elements have been accepted for evaluation during the 44th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The new elements include seven on Still Rings, three on Vault, two each on Pommel Horse and Parallel Bars, and one each on Floor Exercise and Horizontal Bar.
 
Gymnasts have the opportunity to present new elements at any official FIG event. In order for them to be included in the Code of Points, the submitted elements must be performed by the gymnasts during the respective tournament. If they previously performed the element in an FIG or continental competition, they have already been awarded the name. 
 
Floor Exercise
 
Kenzo SHIRAI (JPN)
• Salto bwd. Str. 4/1 
• F value (Element Group III)
• Element is listed in the Code of Points, but was never performed in an FIG competition.
 
 
Pommel Horse
 
Vahagn STEPANYAN (ARM) 
• Double Scissor Fwd with Travel Sideways through handstand 
• C value (Element Group I)
 
Audrys NIN REYES (DOM) 
• Cross Travel Forward 3/3 with 1/2 Spindle from one pommel over the other
• D value (Element Group III)
• Reminder: A maximum of 2 (3/3) cross support travels (forwards and/or backwards) may be performed in an exercise for value.

Ali Ramadan Abuoelkassem ZAHRAN (EGY)
• Through hanging scale rear ways pull with straight body through cross to inverted swallow (2 sec.)
• F value (Element Group IV)
• Note: Any support shown in transition between parts will be deducted and could lead to non-recognition.
• Awarded name: ZAHRAN
• Performed at 2013 World Challenge Cup Slovenia 
 
Arthur ZANETTI (BRA) 
• From hanging scale rear ways press to support scale (2 sec) 
• F value (Element Group IV)
• Same box as Element IV.72
• Note: Elements stating “from” means the previous element must be held for value. In this case a hanging scale rear ways must (“A” value) be held for value.
