Sixteen new men's elements accepted for evaluation

ANTWERP (BEL), FIG Office, September 28, 2013: The FIG Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Technical Committee has announced that a total of sixteen submitted new elements have been accepted for evaluation during the 44th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The new elements include seven on Still Rings, three on Vault, two each on Pommel Horse and Parallel Bars, and one each on Floor Exercise and Horizontal Bar.
Gymnasts have the opportunity to present new elements at any official FIG event. In order for them to be included in the Code of Points, the submitted elements must be performed by the gymnasts during the respective tournament. If they previously performed the element in an FIG or continental competition, they have already been awarded the name.
Floor Exercise
Kenzo SHIRAI (JPN)
• Salto bwd. Str. 4/1

• Element is listed in the Code of Points, but was never performed in an FIG competition.
Pommel Horse
Vahagn STEPANYAN (ARM)
• Double Scissor Fwd with Travel Sideways through handstand

• Cross Travel Forward 3/3 with 1/2 Spindle from one pommel over the other
