We caught up with Bailie Key after podium training:
On training today:
"Training went pretty good today. We were trying to get used to the equipment, but overall I think it went really well."
On new upgrades:
"I’ve been working a double layout for my first pass, and then moving the passes from my normal routine towards the back of [the new] routine."
Goals for this meet:
"My goals are to go out there and hit four for four and really have confident routines, and see where it puts me."
Goals for the rest of the year:
"Going into Championships, I’m hoping to put in a couple more upgrades if I can and then obviously looking for that World’s team."
On having a big Texas Dreams showing at the Secret Classic and being a leader:
"I think it’s cool. I’ve been a junior for a long time so now that I’m finally a senior, I’m like the only one, and I have five other teammates that are juniors competing in the Classic. I hope they look up to me, but I just kinda give them some advice. I told them they can talk to me if they get nervous or have any questions, but I think they are going to do awesome."
Bailie is also debuting a new dramatic floor routine:
