Laurie Hernandez has announced the release of her first book, titled "I Got This: To Gold and Beyond," which will come out on January 24, 2017.
Hernandez has been the breakout star of 2016 -- a name that not many outside of the gymnastics world were familiar with before the Rio Olympics. She achieved huge success in Rio as part of the golden Final Five and also earned an individual silver medal on beam. But it's not just her gymnastics that has won over the hearts of America -- it's also her spunk, her personality, and her contagious zest for life.
In an Instagram post, Hernandez announced the release of her book, which chronicles her journey to the Games, including the obstacles and heartaches that came before Olympic glory.
Hernandez told PEOPLE, "I hope I can help inspire people to go for their dreams."
For Hernandez, it was never an easy road to achieve her greatest dream, and she is excited to share her autobiography with readers.
Hernandez's book is available for pre-order here.
