INDIANAPOLIS, March 8, 2016 – For the second year in a row, three-time World all-around champion Simone Biles of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre, has been named an AAU Sullivan Award semi-finalist.

Biles is a three-time World all-around champion (2013-15), three-time U.S. all-around champion (2013-15), three-time world floor champion (2013-15), two-time world balance beam champion (2014-15) and a member of the gold-medal-winning American teams at the 2014 and 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
Biles became the first woman to win 10 career World gold medals, as well as four gold medals at consecutive World Championships. She also clinched a historic third straight World all-around title at the 2015 World Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow, Great Britain. Biles now has 14 World medals, tied for third all time and the most ever earned by a U.S. gymnast, male or female. She also won her third consecutive U.S. all-around title, becoming the first woman to accomplish the three-peat since Kim Zmeskal. Biles has won every all-around competition she has entered since the 2013 P&G Championships, USA Gymnastics’ national championships, in August 2013. Three gymnasts have previously won the Sullivan Award: Shawn Johnson (2008), Paul Hamm (2004) and Kurt Thomas (1979).
