Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian, and Aly Raisman came away from the 2016 Rio Olympics with tremendous success and multiple broken records. The Final Five, as they named themselves, won the team competition by a massive margin of nearly eight points. With nine Olympic medals, the team also set the record for most medals by a USA women's gymnastics team. And last but not least, Biles became the most decorated American gymnast and now owns 19 Olympic and World Medals.
Ashton Locklear, MyKayla Skinner, and Ragan Smith were alternates to Team USA and traveled to Rio, training full force up until the competition incase they were needed to step in.
While most of the public sees just a few competitions leading up to Rio, these gymnasts have been working nearly their entire lives for these Games. From mom and tot classes to making the senior U.S. National team, these gymnasts have had gymnastics on their minds nearly 24/7.
We've been inside the gyms of every single one of these athletes and gotten an up close look at their hard-work and dedication. Below are some of our best videos featuring these gymnasts in and out of the gym.
