Women's Spring International Assignments Announced
On the final full day of the women's National Team Camp at the Karolyi Ranch, the National Team Training Center, USA Gymnastics announced spring international assignments for women's gymnastics.

HUNTSVILLE, Texas, Feb. 27, 2017 -- On the final full day of the women's National Team Camp, held at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic Training Site, USA Gymnastics announced the spring international assignments for women's gymnastics. 1988 Olympic gold medalist and women's national team coordinator Valeri Liukin led the camp, which concludes tomorrow.
The camp began with physical abilities testing, where Maile O'Keefe of Las Vegas/Salcianu Elite, Ragan Smith of Lewisville, Texas/Texas Dreams Gymnastics, and Shilese Jones of Westerville, Ohio/Buckeye Gymnastics, took the top three spots. The camp also included verifications on each apparatus with athletes vying for international assignments showing full routines on competition surfaces.
The top three in senior verification were:
1. Riley McCusker of Brielle, N.J./MG Elite
2. Ragan Smith of Lewisville, Texas/Texas Dreams Gymnastics
3. Morgan Hurd of Middletown, Del./First State Gymnastics
The top three in junior verification were:
1. Emma Malabuyo of Flower Mound, Texas/Texas Dreams
2. Mailie O'Keefe of Las Vegas/Salcianu Elite
3. Gabby Perea of Geneva, Ill./Legacy Elite
In addition, Sunisa Lee of Saint Paul, Minn./Midwest Gymnastics Center, was added to the national team based on her performances at the February camp. Hurd and McCusker, who were named to the U.S. junior national team following last summer's P&G Gymnastics Championships, will now compete as members of the senior U.S. team.
