Starting today Gymnastike will look and behave a little bit different.  The site has been rebuilt using our in-house-designed web platform, FloWebsite.  Over the past few months, Gymnastike has been expanding its network of websites built on this platform and now Gymnastike itself is running on the new technology, adding functionality and flexibility to the website and completely integrating it into the Gymnastike Network of websites.

What's New?

The most obvious change is the simplified layout and rearrangement of some items, but that only scratches the surface.  Now that Gymnastike is a FloWebsite, I have total control over the layout and structure of every page and the site as a whole.  You may see items move around and new boxes added as I play around trying to find the best way to deliver content to you the users.  I can even create custom pages from scratch that don't necessarily fit into the original coverage-news-photos categorization scheme.  The "open gym" section is now called "groups" and the interface has been redesigned. Please try it out!

What's Next?

Now that Gymnastike has made the switch we'll be looking for ways to improve the site even more!  There may still be a few small bugs hanging around so if you find any, please contact us to let us know.  Also, please give us feedback on what you like and don't like about the site.  I'm happy to try out new ideas and we're constantly looking to develop new features.

Coming up next, I'll be bringing you coverage from the 2010 Visa Championships in Hartford! Coverage begins Tuesday, August 10th and check the site often as we'll uploading videos and live updates throughout the day for the duration of the event.
