Kent State pulls the Upset, Qualifies to NCAA Nationals!
The Ann Arbor Regoinal Championships just concluded and after much confusion with a tie for second between #1 seed Stanford and #5 seed Minnesota, then a frozen score sheet not reflecting the final scores for Kent State and Ohio State, we have our final results! #6 seed Kent State University pulls the upset and qualifies to the 2011 NCAA National Championships!

Michigan dominated the competition with a 197.075 and senior Kylee Botterman won the all around with a 39.50 and floor with a 9.925.

The Athens Regional meet was the first to wrap up today the defending NCAA Champion UCLA Bruins are finally hitting their stride. They exploded with a 197.425. Georgia redeemed themselves from last year and will return to Nationals with their 196.750 today.

In the Norman Regional, Oklahoma led the way with a great 197.350. Utah started out their meet with a fall on beam and struggled to get their momentum back. Washington had an excellent uneven bars rotation and went into the final event of the night with a 2.5 tenth lead over the Utes. Washington crumbled under the pressure and the Utes showed why they've never missed an NCAA National Championships with a strong finish on uneven bars and yet another trip to Nationals. They finished with 196.475.

The Tuscaloosa Regional is underway now and Alabama has a commanding lead and we still have the Denver Regional with overall #3 seed Florida and the Corvallis Regional where the overall #1 seed Oregon State will compete in front of a home crowd. Stay tuned as we continue to update you throughout the evening!
