USA Gymnastics announces U.S. Men’s Team, draw for 2012 Kellogg’s® Pacific Rim Championships
INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 23, 2012 – 2011 World Championships team members Chris Brooks of Houston/Team Hilton HHonors (Cypress Gymnastics), and Jake Dalton of Reno, Nev./University of Oklahoma, headline the U.S. Men’s Team at the 2012 Kellogg's® Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships, March 16-18, at the Comcast Arena at Everett (Wash.) and the Comcast Community Ice Rink. Senior national team member Sam Mikulak of Ann Arbor, Mich./University of Michigan, and juniors Marvin Kimble of Milwaukee, Wis./Swiss Turners Gymnastics, Sean Melton of Orlando/U.S. Olympic Training Center, and Akash Modi of Morganville, N.J./Monmouth Gymnastics Academy, complete the field for the Americans.
Additionally, USA Gymnastics and the Pacific Alliance of National Gymnastic Federations conducted the draw, which decides the competitive order, for the 2012 Pacific Alliance Championships on Friday, Feb. 17. Both the men’s and women’s teams representing the United States in artistic gymnastics competition will compete in the evening sessions on March 16-17, which determine the team and all-around champions. The complete draw, along with the apparatus where each country will begin, is as follows.
March 16
Women’s gymnastics, team and all-around finals:
1:30 p.m.: Russia, vault; Canada, uneven bars; Philippines, bye; Panama/Costa Rica, balance beam; Japan, floor exercise; Colombia/Hong Kong, bye
7 p.m.: USA, vault; Mexico, uneven bars; New Zealand, bye; Australia, balance beam; China, floor exercise
Rhythmic gymnastics, team and all-around finals:
10 a.m.: Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Mexico, Malaysia, Korea
3 p.m.: USA, Australia, China, Canada, New Zealand
March 17
Men’s gymnastics, team and all-around finals:
1:30 p.m.: Mexico, floor exercise; Hong Kong, pommel horse; Japan, still rings; Colombia/Costa Rica/Thailand, vault; Chinese Taipei, parallel bars
7 p.m.: Russia, floor exercise; USA, pommel horse; Australia, still rings; Canada, vault; China, parallel bars; Philippines/New Zealand, horizontal bar
Rhythmic gymnastics, individual event finals:
3 p.m.: Top eight individuals on each apparatus based on performances on March 16
March 18
Men’s and women’s gymnastics, individual event finals:
12 p.m.: Top eight juniors on each apparatus based on performances on March 16-17
6 p.m.: Top eight seniors on each apparatus based on performances on March 16-17

9 a.m.: Juniors – Australia, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, USA
11:30 a.m.: Seniors – Australia, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, USA
