Wieber sees future at UCLA

According to an article from the Lansing State Journal, 2011 World All Around Champion and Olympic favorite Jordyn Wieber sees a future for herself with the UCLA gymnastics team…but not as a gymnast.

Wieber forfeited her NCAA eligibility when she decided to turn pro in the sport after last year's World Championship success in Tokyo.  The article states that she is still interested in attending college and would like to become an undergraduate assistant for the Bruins in the future.

The UCLA gymnastics program is headed by esteemed coach Valorie Kondos Field and has been the college of choice for former Olympic gymnasts, including Kristen Maloney, Jamie Dantzscher, Samantha Peszek, Tasha Schwikert, Yvonne Tousek, Kate Richardson and others.

The Bruins have captured six NCAA Championships as a team and are one of only four schools to ever win a team title in women's gymnastics.
