2013 AT&T American Cup Champion Katelyn Ohashi of WOGA underwent shoulder surgery on Friday, April 5.
According to a statement on the USAG website, Ohashi's surgeon is "optimistic for a quick recovery."
Following her American Cup victory, Ohashi missed Team USA's recent International Exchange competitions reportedly due to a sore back.
Ohashi is known for her difficulty, particularly on balance beam. With a strong showing at the American Cup, her first competition as a senior elite, Ohashi was looking on track for a spot on the 2013 USA World Team which will be an individual World Championships. And she was absolutely on track for a world beam title.
