Bailie Key of Texas Dreams had a dominating performance this weekend at the 2013 International Junior Competition in Japan. The 2013 U.S. junior all-around champion won five gold medals, placing first in the all around and all four event finals. Key is having a fantastic 2013 season that included winning the all-around title at the Jeselo Trophy, P&G Championships and Secret U.S. Classic.

This weekend's competition was the first international assignment for Laurie Hernandez of MG Elite. Hernandez won two medals placing third in the all-around and on vault. Additionally, Hernandez placed sixth on beam and fourth on floor exercise. Hernandez is coming off of a strong performance at the P&G Championships where she finished second in the all-around.

2013 U.S. junior all-around champion Bailie Key of Montgomery, Texas/Texas Dreams, won all four event titles today at the 2013 International Junior Gymnastics Competition at the Yokohama (Japan) Cultural Gymnasium. Lauren Hernandez of Old Bridge, N.J./MG Elite, the U.S. junior all-around silver medalist, claimed the bronze medal on the vault.

Key, who also won the individual all-around, claimed all five available gold medals at the event. To win each event, she posted scores of 15.100, vault; 14.350, uneven bars; 14.625, balance beam; and 14.800, floor exercise.

Hernandez added a second bronze medal today, posting a 14.625. She also finished sixth on beam, 13.475, and fourth on floor, 13.725.

This event was the first international assignment for Hernandez and the fourth for Key. Coaches for the event were Kim Zmeskal-Burdette of Texas Dreams and Maggie Haney of MG Elite.
