Seniors Event Finals

Team USA had a great meet today at the seniors event finals and the last day of competition at the Pacific Rim Championships. Eight gymnasts on each event qualified for finals from the team/all-around competition earlier this week.

Both USA women competed on bars, beam, and floor and had great routines. Elizabeth Price won gold on bars with a 14.6 even after hitting her feet on the low bar before her dismount. Price also won gold on floorwith a 14.95 and bronze on beam with a 14.625. Kyla Ross had a nearly flawless beam routine and won with a 15.025. Ross also won silver on bars and floor with a 14.35 and 14.5 respectively.

John Orozco started the meet with a fall on pommel horse but quickly recoved and hit the rest of his routines. He won gold parallel bars with a 15.35 and high bar with a 15.25. He also won silver on rings and floor with a 14.95 and 14.7. Orozco mentioned his rings medal being the highlight of his meet because it is not one of his strongest events but he was proud of his performance. Alex Naddour qualified for event finals on pommel horse and rings but struggled in competition and had a fall on each event.
