J.O. Nationals: Results, Recaps and Routines
The 2014 women's J.O. National Championships have concluded in Jackson. Below you can find the top results from the level 10 national championships for each of the eight age groups. Congratulations to the 2014 Champions!
JR A All Around
Delanie Harkness of Leslie, Mich./Twistars USA, won the all-around gold medal with a 38.400 total. Harkness also took the uneven bars and floor titles with scores of 9.675 and 9.775, respectively. Kai Rivers of Franklin, Mich./Twistars USA, and Kaitlin DeGuzman of Rowlett, Texas/Metroplex Gymnastics, earned the silver and bronze medals, respectively. With a 9.625, DeGuzman won the beam, adding to her medal count. There was a tie for vault champion with Alexa Al-Hameed of Ames, Iowa/Triad Gymnastics, and Savannah Gutierrez of La Mirada, Calif./Precision Gymnastics, at 9.725. Region 5 was the session’s top team with 152.300 points.

Jr B All Around
Rachael Lukacs of Hillsborough, N.J./North Stars Gymnastics Academy, garnered the all-around gold with her 38.325. Lukacs also captured the vault crown with a 9.875. Lexi Graber of Cape Coral, Fla./Coast Elite Gymnastics Academy-CEGA, tallied a 38.150, and Evy Schoepfer of Ames, Iowa/Triad Gymnastics, scored a 38.125 to take second and third, respectively. Abigail Brenner of Maple Grove, Minn./Twin City Twisters, and Sophia Carter of Fenton, Mo./Great American Gymnastics Express, tied for the floor exercise title with a 9.700. Tying with a 9.650, Natalie Wojcik of Douglasville, Pa./Berks Gymnastic Academy, and Wesley Stephenson of Plainfield, Ill./Legacy Elite Gymnastics LLC, shared top honors on the balance beam. The top finisher on the uneven bars was Rachael Flam of Houston/Stars Gymnastics Training Center-Houston, with a 9.550. Team champion was Region 7 (152.300).

Junior C All Around
Kennedi Edney of Chino, Calif./Precision Gymnastics, won the all-around title with a 38.800 total. Edney also had the top score on the vault, tallying a 9.900. In the all-around, Sarah Smith of Jasper, Ind./Jaycie Phelps Athletic Center, and Kyana George of McKinney, Texas/Metroplex Gymnastics, finished second and third, respectively. Smith added to her medal haul winning the beam (9.675) and floor exercise (9.775) titles. The uneven bars title went to Ashley Smith of Apex, N.C./Sonshine Gymnastics, who scored a 9.575. Region 5 was the session’s top team with 152.600 points.

Grace Glenn of Charlotte, N.C./Southeastern Gymnastics Center, captured the all-around gold with her 38.675. Glenn was also the top scorer on the beam with a 9.775. Maddie Karr of Stillwater, Minn./Twin City Twisters, posted a 38.550, and Rachel Dickson of Canton, Mich./Michigan Elite Gymnastics Academy, earned a 38.425 to take all-around second and third places, respectively. Dickson shared the uneven bars title with Lexi Funk of Aurora, Ill./Illinois Gymnastics Institute Inc., both scoring 9.575. Madison Preston of Loveland, Ohio/Cincinnati Gymnastics, snagged the vault title with a 9.900, and Stephanie Day of Universal City, Texas/Aerial Athletics, bested the competition on the floor exercise with a 9.850. Team champion was Region 5 (155.300).

The all-around crown went to Olivia Karas of Chicago/IK Gymnastics, who scored a 38.400. Karas also won vault and uneven bars with scores of 9.925 and 9.650, respectively. Finishing in second and third place in the all-around were Sydney Snead of Raleigh, N.C./Sonshine Gymnastics, and Lacy Dagen of Pleasanton, Calif./San Mateo Gymnastics, respectively. Dagen’s score of 9.600 on beam gave her top honors in a three-way tie with Shynelle Agaran of Coral Springs, Fla./American Twisters, and Katelyn Lentz of Brisbane, Calif./Head Over Heels. McKenna Kelley of Houston /Stars Gymnastics Training Center-Houston, was the floor champion with 9.575. Team honors went to Region 5 (151.950).

Top all-around honors went to Grace Williams of Linden, Mich./Twistars USA, Inc., who scored a 38.725. Additionally, Williams’ 9.750 landed her on top of the podium for the uneven bars. Finishing the all-around in second and third place were Erin Macadaeg of Redwood City, Calif./San Mateo Gymnastics, and Kari Lee of Peoria, Ariz./Flames Gymnastics Academy, respectively. Macadaeg was the top finisher on balance beam with a 9.725 and on floor with a 9.650. The vault title was shared between three gymnasts all with a 9.800 - Lee, Paige Zaziski of Chesterfield, Mich./Hunts Gymnastics Academy, and Mackenzie Brannan of Austin, Texas/Capital Gymnastics. Team honors went to Region 1 (153.675).

Posting a 38.475, Taylor Harrison of Suffolk, Va./World Class Gymnastics, claimed the all-around title. Rounding out the all-around medals podium were Danielle Breen of Ames, Iowa/Triad Gymnastics, in second and Kaitlynn Hedelund of Chesapeake, Va./Excalibur Gymnastics, in third. The best on balance beam was Maddy Stover of Fullerton, Calif./Wildfire Gymnastics, with a 9.575. Kamerin Moore of West Bloomfield, Mich./Twistars USA, Inc., topped the field with her 9.700 on uneven bars. The vault competition was won by Taylor Allex of Becker, Minn./Classic Gymnastics, (9.825). Zoey Shaefer of Minneapolis, Minn./Twin City Twisters, joined her fellow Minnesotan winning top honors on the floor exercise (9.575) The team title went to Region 7 (152.675).
