Larisa Iordache from Romania was voted as the most attractive gymnast in the Women's European Championships in Sofia. Challengers for the title were also Vanessa Ferrari (ITA), Guilia Steingruber (SUI), Claire Martin (FRA), Aliya Mustafina (RUS), Catherine Lyons (GBR).

 

“I am surprised and really happy to receive such a recognition. I didn't expect it! For me the most important thing was the competition, but here you are, I am now honoured to be Miss European Championships – how nice!”

Iordache helped lead Romania to team gold on Saturday at the seniors womens team competition. Iordache went on to compete in event finals on on all four events on Sunday. She tied with Ferrari to win gold on floor, placed second on beam, and third on vault.
