UPDATE: Moors Out of Commonwealth Games
Update, 7/28:

GymCan, the national Canadian gymnastics federation, has released a statement regarding their selection process for the Commonwealth Games team and Victoria Moors' withdrawal:

"The Canadian Gymnastics Teams held preparation camps prior to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. The objectives of these camps were to conduct final training prior to the Games, as well as to give the coaching personnel the opportunity to evaluate the athletes prior to heading to Glasgow.

Following discussion between the coaches and Victoria Moors, it was determined that she was not performing at competition readiness for these Games. The coaching staff therefore decided that Victoria-Kayen Woo would compete in Glasgow instead of Victoria Moors.

Kayen Woo had been one of the athletes identified during the selection process for the Games, and upon review of the situation, it was felt that she would be able to contribute positively to the team."

With the artistic gymnastics competition kicking off tomorrow at the Commonwealth Games, Victoria Moors of Canada has withdrawn from the competition and seems to have left Glasgow. The reason for her departure is not clear as of now, as there is no official statement via Gymnastics Canada at this time. However, the 2012 Olympian has taken to social media to personally address her withdrawal and wish her teammates good luck.

Moors will be replaced by Victoria-Kayen Woo, who placed 5th in the all-around at the 2014 Canadian National Championships. Although the team will miss the powerful veteran's presence in Glasgow, they have strong chances of medaling in the team event, with remaining team members including Olympian Ellie Black, 2014 Pacific Rim team silver medalist Maegan Chant, 2014 Canadian all-around silver medalist Isabela Onyshko, and  future Ohio State Buckeye gymnast Stefanie Merkle. The team completed podium training today and will begin competition tomorrow, July 28th.
