Foberg, Hernandez Commit To Florida

2014 Junior National Champion Jazmyn Foberg and MG Elite teammate Laurie Hernandez have committed to the University of Florida. They announced their commitments via social media.

Foberg had a breakout season and went from not qualifying for the 2013 P&G Championships to winning the entire 2014 P&G Championships. She is an extremely powerful gymnast but also has the style and artistry to balance her strength. After winning Championships, she was named to the junior national team for her first time.

Hernandez is also an international elite. She placed second all-around at the 2013 P&G Championships and went on to compete internationally. In 2014, she suffered two injuries and was unable to compete. She was recently released by the doctors and is working back to training full force. Watch her explain her injuries and comeback in our Beyond the Routine with MG Elite here.

Both Foberg and Hernandez are on track to graduate high school in 2018. Elite gymnasts Emily Gaskins and Sydney Johnson-Scharpf have also commited to the University of Florida for the fall of 2018. Current national team members who have also commited to Florida include Alyssa Baumann, Peyton Ernst, Rachel Gowey, Amelia Hundley, Ashton Locklear, and Bailie Key
