Best Moment of 2014 - #2: Team USA Wins Worlds Gold



As 2014 draws to a close, we are going back over the very best moments, meets, videos, and athletes from the entire year. Today we will be going over our favorite moments from the entire year! In #2 is team USA winning gold at the World Championships. 

 

Team USA dominated the World Championships this year and won USA’s second consecutive team title. The team outscored the rest of the competition by over 6 points. This years Worlds team was comprised of Alyssa Baumann, Simone Biles, Madison Kocian, Ashton Locklear, Kyla Ross, and Mykayla Skinner with Madison Desch as the alternate.

 

The format of the team finals - three up three count, made for an exciting competition where every routine was extremely important. Team USA was solid hitting all 12 routines beautifully.
