#3 Best Peformance of 2014 - FIG All-Around World Cup Champ, Elizabeth Price

As the year draws to a close, we are taking a look back at the best of 2014. The final few days of this year will be filled with the best routines, moments, and more from this year for you to enjoy. Today we’ll be taking a look back at some of the best performances of 2014. Coming in at No. 3, is FIG All-Around World Cup Series Champ, Elizabeth Price.

Although the World Cup Series consists of the combined points earned at a number of meets throughout the year, not just a single performance, we thought Price still deserved recognition for accomplishing this impressive feat. By winning both the AT&T American Cup in Greensboro, N.C., and the Stuttgart (Germany) World Cup, as well as taking second at the Glasgow (Scotland) World Cup, Price clinched the series title with 145 points.
At the AT&T American Cup, Price led from the start of the competition and never looked back. She dominated the competition and totaled a 59.966 in the all around to win by over two points. On top of a monstrous Amanar on vault, she performed a clean bar routine with a stuck full twisting double layout dismount. A solid beam routine complimented by a standing full and a stuck double pike dismount as well as a new floor routine highlighted by a stuck double double first pass and double layout second pass, were more than enough to secure Price’s victory. She earned the top scores on every event except for floor where she took silver behind 2013 World Floor silver medalist Vanessa Ferarri of Italy.

Price performs some of the most difficult skills and routines in the world including her Amanar and her floor routine that starts at a 6.0 and includes a tuck double double and a double layout. Price was one of the top contenders in the running for a spot at the 2016 Olympics however, she has decided to take her talents to the NCAA and is a freshman at The University of Stanford. We wish EB the best of luck and can't wait to see her dominate the collegiate competition floor!
