The No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide left Columbia with a win against the No.24 Missouri Tigers (197.35-195.275) for Missouri’s first ever Pink Out meet.

Competition began on vault with four Missouri gymnasts scoring 9.8’s or higher for a total of 48.95.  On the bars, Alabama’s Kaitlyn Clark stole the show with a 9.95. Right behind her were teammates Lauren Beers and Kiana Winston with a 9.925 and 9.9 respectively.

Missouri’s Shauna Miller returned to the bar lineup this week after resting an injury and posted the teams highest bar score of the night. With two falls though, Missouri was forced to count a 9.275, hurting their overall team score. Carley Sims of Alabama tallied the highest vault score of the night with a 9.925.

In the third rotation, Missouri continued to struggle on beam and had to count another fall. Alabama, however, scored a 49.5 on floor led by junior Lauren Beers (9.925) and three other 9.9 routines.

The night wrapped up as Missouri posted their highest floor team score of the season (49.275).  Sophomore Alyson Heimsath set a career high of 9.9 with freshman Kennedi Harris right behind her earning a 9.875. The Crimson Tide concluded on beam with a 49.225.

Next week, the Tigers host NC State in their final home meet of the season while Alabama hosts rival Auburn.
