Russia Secures Women's Team Gold At European Games
Russia won the team competition at the 2015 Baku European Games with a 116.867. Germany took silver with a 110.397 and the Netherlands earned bronze with a 110.099.
After day one of qualifications, Russia had the lead with Germany in second, and both teams were able to hold their positions. Hungary was in third after day one, but didn't have a strong showing during the beam and floor competition, giving the Nertherlands an opportunity to grab the bronze.
Aliya Mustafina has been a strong force for Russia over many years, leading the team to silver at the 2012 London Olympics as well as a third place finish at the 2014 World Championships. She is known for her tremendous form and difficulty on bars, and she showed both precision and beautiful lines at the Baku Games. See her bar routine from qualifications below:
