Mustafina Wins AA Gold At European Games
Russian standout Aliya Mustafina took the all-around title at the European Games in Baku with a 58.566. Giulia Steingruber of Switzerland earned the silver with a 56.699, and Lieke Wevers of the Netherlands received the bronze with a 55.065.
Mustafina, a seasoned veteran, came into the all-around final favored to win. She was consistent throughout the competition, showing a solid Yurchenko double full on vault and earning an impressive 15.500 on bars. Mustafina finished strong on beam and floor, combining difficulty, elegance and power.
