Meet Team Canada: Isabela Onyshko
The 2015 Pan American Games begin this week in Toronto, Ontario and Canada will be represented with a strong women’s team made up of Elsabeth Black, Madison Copiak, Maegan Chant, Isabela Onyshko, and Victoria Woo. This week we are introducing you to each member of the team and today we continue with Isabela Onyshko.

One of the most promising young gymnasts of Team Canada, Onyshko is from Minnedosa, Manitoba where she trains at Bradon Eagles with Lorie Henderson and Joe Stouffer. As a second year senior, she already has numerous international competitions under her belt. Last year she competed at the World Championships and contributed on bars, beam, and floor.

She started out 2015 at Elite Canada where she placed second all-around and third on beam and floor. She traveled to Texas for the WOGA Classic where she earned fifth all-around and then competed in the Gymnix where she placed second all-around. After a few more international meets, she was named to Canada’s Pan Am Games team.

Onyshko is naturally talented and performs difficult skills with ease. Her talent paired with her incredible work ethic has shaped her into a strong all-around gymnast. Her bars and beam routines include high level skills and beautiful connections performed with clean form.
