Cameron Bock of Tustin, Calif./SCATS, and Davis Grooms of Katy, Texas/Champions Gymnastics, will represent the USA at the 2015 International Junior Gymnastics Competition in Yokohama, Japan, Sept. 22-23.
Bock was one of the four junior gymnasts who competed in the senior division finals at the recent P&G Gymnastics Championships, where he finished in the top 20 in the senior all-around standings. Grooms won the 15-16 junior all-around title at the P&G Championships. Based on the overall junior all-around rankings, Bock and Grooms were the top-two-ranking, age-eligible athletes, respectively.
The competition schedule is the all-around competition on Sept. 22, with the individual event finals on Sept. 23. The top eight gymnasts on each event in the all-around competition will advance to the event finals.
Grigor Chalikyan with SCATS and Hideo Mizoguchi of Champions will be the coaches, and Michael Ashe is the judge.
