All gymnasts know that when first learning a skill, you fall more times than you hit. The video below is a perfect example of perseverance to learn a skill! After eight falls, and likely dozens more off camera, Laney Madsen finally catches a Gienger.

Madsen is a 14 year old gymnast who trains at Gym-Max in California under coaches Jenny Liang and Howie Liang. Her teammates include Olympic and World Champion Kyla Ross and senior elite Felicia Hano.
Madsen was a cheerleader for years and recently made the switch to gymnastics with the 2020 Olympic Games as her ultimate goal. She became the first gymnast with no competitive experience to be invited to the USAG National Team Training Camp where she attended last November.
