The End of Worlds As We Know It
Now that the 2014 World Championships are over, you may be sitting in front of your screen wondering “Now what?” But if you, like us, are mourning the loss of round-the-clock gymnastics entertainment, then fear not! Here’s our 10-step program to help ease the pain and keep the fun going a bit longer!

How to Cope After Worlds

10. Eat some delicious Chinese food to get a little flavor of life in Nanning.

9. Watch all the routines again and again… and again. No, the results haven’t changed, but you might see something different in the replays!

8. Spotted some lovely leos? Use all that inspiration to design your own unique competition leotard for next season.

7. Go back to our podium picks and other preview articles to see how close we were in our predictions!

6. If you haven’t already done so, follow your favorite gymnasts on social media. Not only will you get their personal take on the competition, but you might also see exciting training videos during the off-season!

5. Learn all about Glasgow, Scotland as you look ahead to the 2015 Worlds!

4. Spend some time in the Youtube archives, watching the most famous moments in Worlds’ history. An added bonus is the opportunity to laugh at the hilarious fashion choices and low-quality video from the earlier years.

3. Dress up as your favorite gymnast for Halloween. WARNING: Requires a fair amount of confidence for us older folks who don’t wear leotards on a daily basis anymore.

2. If you watched the competition with non-gymnasts, show some mercy (and prepare them for the future) by taking the time to teach them the basics of the sport.

1. Start early with your dream rosters and predictions for next year’s Worlds. But remember, you never know what can change in a year!

And if all of that isn’t enough, maybe it’s time to book your next family vacation to Nanning, China to see the Guangxi Stadium in person!
