Anne in Japan!
I made it to Tokyo!! After a long, long trip, I got in to Tokyo late last night. Definitely feeling the time change confusion at 14 hours ahead of Texas time. I am totally exhausted but have been wide awake since 6am!
Today is the first official day for media in Tokyo. No time for rest as the training halls open at 10am! Looking over the schedule it looks like I'll get to see each of the teams today and from what I know and I can film and take photos inside the training hall, so look out for that later today! Videos will show up on our homepage throughout the days and all World Champs videos/photos will go here. Really looking forward to seeing the US teams, Romanians, Russians, Chinese, how Komova and Lauren Mitchell look, and what crazy combinations Beth Tweddle is throwing on bars.
I am one of the lucky ones with internet in my miniature hotel room so that means never-ending updates and videos from me for the next 2 weeks! The strange thing is that you have to have the TV on for the internet to work. I have 10 channels, all of which are in Japanese, but right now the Texas Rangers game is on! Guess they're just trying to make me feel at home?
Alright, I'm off on my adventure of trying to figure out 1) what you eat for breakfast in Tokyo, and 2) how to get to this training hall and pick up my credential.
