The No. Oklahoma Sooners will host their first home meet of the 2016 season on January 15th. They will be hosting the No. 11 California Golden Bears and the TWU Pioneers.
The Sooners are coming off a loss against LSU in the season opener of 2016. Despite losing their first meet, the Sooners are still ranked in the top five nationally. Oklahoma will lean on senior leaders Haley Scaman and Keeley Kmieciak throughout the season. Scaman is a huge asset to the Sooners; she competes on three out of four events and has scored perfect 10s on two of those events. Kmieciak competed in the all-around against LSU and has a must-see bar routine with huge releases. The Sooners will also look to junior McKenzie Wofford who took the title of Big 12 Specialist of the Week for her 9.95 bar routine this past weekend.

California is coming off a big win at the NorCal Classic. The Golden Bears defeated the Stanford Cardinal and four other California teams with a 195.575 team score. They will look to senior Toni-Ann Williams and junior Jessica Howe who posted big scores last weekend that lead the team to a win.
