Recruiting Breakdown: Gym Dogs Bring In Four New Faces
The 2018 NCAA gymnastics season is still months away, but it's never too early to get to know the incoming freshman class for each team. Here's a breakdown of the new additions Georgia has made for next year.

The Bulldogs had a rollercoaster ride of a season -- especially on balance beam -- and struggled to break the 9.800 mark on vault and beam at the NCAA championships. After a rough performance at NCAAs, Georgia made some changes to its coaching staff. Danna Durante was fired in late April and assistant coaches Jay Hogue and Phil Ogletree were not retained. Georgia announced that former Gym Dog Courtney Kupets-Carter would be the new head coach on May 11. Suzanne Yoculan, who guided Georgia to 10 titles, was immediately pegged as a volunteer assistant. Interview with Kupets here.

Outgoing: Ashlyn Broussard, Morgan Reynolds, Beth Roberts, Rachel Schick
The four seniors accounted for 10 routines this season -- two on both bars and floor and three on vault and beam. Broussard was in both the vault and balance beam lineups. She had some difficulty with consistency on beam, but when she hit she was capable of bringing in a big score. Reynolds competed vault, bars, and floor consistently all season and brought in solid scores on all three events. She was also in the beam lineup in half of the meets. Schick had great lines on bars and beam and often brought in a big score for the Gym Dogs. Roberts contributed on both vault and floor. There are vacancies in all four lineups, and with a talented group that included three former elites there will be plenty of competition for the six competitive routines.
