UCLA's Nia Dennis Rocks NCAA Debut, Kyla Ross Hits New Bar Dismount
Freshman Bruin Nia Dennis led the blue team to a victory over the gold team, 117.800-116.375.
At UCLA's Meet the Bruins intrasquad this weekend, freshman Nia Dennis came out of the gate on fire and scored a 9.8 or higher on every event, earning the top all-around score of 39.4. She led the blue team to a victory over the gold team, 117.800-116.375.
Also of note was Kyla Ross' outstanding vault — a stuck Yurchenko full to match Dennis' — which scored a 9.9 to tie Dennis for first. Ross also competed her new bar dismount of full twisting double layout and scored a 9.85 on the event.

Felicia Hano had an outstanding competition, scoring 9.9 on vault for her Yurchenko one and a half and following that up with 9.85s on both beam and floor.
Dennis brought down the house with her floor routine, which features this amazing pass of punch front layout through to double back.
