
Level 9 gymnasts from across the country competed at the Eastern and Western Championships to finish their 2013 season.

The 2013 Women's Junior Olympic Level 9 Eastern and Western Championships will be held May 2-5. The Level 9 Eastern Championships are in Battle Creek, Michigan, while the Western Championships will be held in Roseville, California.
Below are the top results from each of the age division. Results will continue to be updated throughout the weekend.
2013 LEVEL 9 WESTERN CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS
Junior A
Rachel Baumann of WOGA used a 9.70 on beam in the final rotation to edge Shyan Phillips of Pacific West for the coveted all around title. Rachel is the younger sister of WOGA elite Alyssa Baumann who has recently returned from injury and will be one to watch on the elite scene this summer. Alyssa also won the Level 9 National All Around title back in 2010! Rachel looks to have the potential to follow her sister to the elite level.
Phillips won the vault title. Jillian Hoffman of SCEGA, Jordan Bowers of Solid Rock, and Rachel Schuelke of West Coast Elite tied for the uneven bars tittle. WOGA's Deanna West won beam with a 9.725 and Shilese Jones of Auburn won floor with a powerful routine.

Junior B
Talia Brovedani of Head Over Heels used a huge 38.575 to win the Jr B title. Brovendani also won the Region 1 All Around title this year. Coming in second was Madison Dagen of San Mateo, the younger sister of Lacy Dagen who competed as a junior elite at last year's Visa Championships.
Brovedani also won gold on beam, and Sekai Wright of American Gym Academy won floor.

Sydney Perry of Azarian scored a 9.625 and 9.600 to win bars and floor.

2013 LEVEL 9 EASTERN CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS
Junior 1

1996 Olympic Champion Jaycie Phelps has a strong team of level 9's at her new gym in Indiana, JPAC, and today she coached Hadyn Crossen to the all around, vault, and beam titles. Shealyn Luksik of X-Cel Gymnastics was close behind in second.

Junior 3

Junior 4
Abby Heiskell of Southeastern Gymnastics in North Carolina posted a big 38.0 all around score to easily win the Junior 4 title. She also won the beam and floor titles and tied for second on uneven bars.
Paige Apperson of Silvia's and Britney Nguyen of Prestige-PA tied for second all around. Apperson won the vault title outright with a 9.550. And finally, Allison Frommer of Hill's Gymnastics won uneven bars with a 9.60.

Brooke Chesney of Cincinnati Gymnastics won the all around title followed by Amanda Arnold of Twistars. Additionally, Chesney won two individual event titles on vault and floor.
Bailey Stehler of Rochester GA was the uneven bars champion with a score of 9.675 and Madeline Pope of Southern Starz won vault with a 9.500.



Phillips was the floor champion with a 9.475 and Dinaisya Harrison of Kidsport scored a 9.550 to win the vault title.

Senior 3
Jamie Stone of World Class won the all around with a 37.755 and placed first on floor with a 9.500.

Briana Barrett of Tampa Bay Turners won the all around title with a 37.475 and picked up a second title on vault scoring a 9.450.
