Year after year, the SEC Championships prove to be like a miniature NCAA Nationals and this year proved to be no different. Georgia came in ranked #1 and the favorite to beat, but with 2 falls on beam in the first rotation it didn't look promising for the Gymdogs. They fought back with 3 great events, but it wasn't enough to surpass the Alabama Gymtide. Alabama took the 2009 SEC title with a 197.300. Georgia finished 2nd with 196.925, and Florida in 3rd with a 196.750.
