Gabby Douglas: Transformation Tuesday, 2012 to 2015
Gabby Douglas from March 2012 at the American Cup --> August 2015 at the P&G Championships Over the last three and a half years, Gabby Douglas has been on a whirlwind of a journey. After being the alternate at the 2012 American Cup (in video), but scoring the highest all-around of the day, she exploded onto the scene as a frontrunner. She broke out an Amanar at the competition and scored an impressive 15.633 on bars. Later that year, she qualified to the Olympics, and won both team gold and the all-around crown. Douglas then took a small break from the sport, and embarked on a series of appearances, only to return with the burning desire to earn a ticket to Rio. At the 2015 Secret Classic, she earned the silver medal, and went on to take fifth at the P&G Championships. Douglas has proven that she still has what it takes, and with a wealth of international experience and the leadership that comes with it, she is a strong contender for the 2015 Worlds Team as well as the 2016 Olympic Team.
