This video includes several different drills from IGI that aid in the development of a strong vault. Using tramp is effective when teaching air awareness and twisting positions. IGI has a neat contraption they use to strengthen the shins and knees to reduce shin splints.

The drill against the wall targets the small muscles in the hip, as the athletes think about squeezing and lifting their hips off the wall. In the jump to candle drill, the gymnasts activate their core, which helps get hips and shins moving faster from the board to horse.
