Aly Raisman has been voted captain of the women's 2016 U.S. Olympic team by her teammates. This will be her second time serving as the captain of the team, as she earned this role in London, as well.
Raisman has natural leadership qualities and is known by the team as "Mama Aly"--not only because she is the oldest, but for the way she nurtures and cares for the girls on the team. She's been one to give perfect pep talks and help the team embrace each moment.
Additionally, Aimee Boorman, coach of Simone Biles at World Champions Centre, has been named the head coach of Team USA, and Raisman's coach Mihai Brestyan is the assistant coach.
