The February women's national team camp began Friday at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic Training Site. 1988 Olympic champion and national team coordinator Valeri Liukin, will lead the camp.

HUNTSVILLE, Texas, Feb. 24, 2017 - The February women's national team camp began Friday at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic Training Site. 1988 Olympic champion and national team coordinator Valeri Liukin, will lead the camp.
The camp will begin with physical abilities testing, followed by verifications on each apparatus. Athletes who are vying for international assignments at the upcoming AT&T American Cup, Stuttgart World Cup and International Gymnix will verify full routines on competition surfaces. The focus of the camp will on perfecting the quality and consistency of routines.
The U.S. women are expected to participate in the International Gymnastics Federation's all-around World Cup series, including the AT&T American Cup, scheduled for March 4 in Newark, N.J., as well as the London and Stuttgart World Cups. Four junior athletes will represent Team USA at the International Gymnix in early March and the U.S. will attend the Jesolo (Italy) Trophy, April 1-2.
2016 Olympic team replacement athletes Ashton Locklear and Ragan Smith of Lewisville, Texas/Texas Dreams Gymnastics, are expected to participate in the camp since the Rio Olympics.
