The 2016 P&G National Championships concluded tonight at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, where the senior national champions were crowned.
Simone Biles earned her fourth straight national all-around title after scoring a two-day total of 125.00 (62.90 + 62.10). Aly Raisman took silver with 121.10, and Laurie Hernandez clinched bronze with 120.50.
Let's take a look at some of the most exciting routines from night two!
Biles' dominance is clear as day—she won gold by nearly four points—but her overall performance on day two was not quite as strong as night one. She faltered a bit on a connection on bars, and didn't have as rock-solid of a beam performance as usual. But rather than dwell on the small mistakes, let's focus on the fact that she broke the 16.0 mark on both vault and floor—again.
Biles' Amanar received a stunning 16.2 with a 9.9 E-score. True greatness:
And then, of course, there's this:
Biles scored a 16.05 for this routine on night two.
Watching Raisman rock floor never disappoints. She continued to show fearless passes combined with polished precision, which helped her score a 15.7 on night two for silver.
Douglas showed off a lovely beam routine on night two to earn a 15.05 after scoring a 14.20 on night one. That's one hefty improvement, and the best beam score Douglas has earned all year.
Saying Hernandez is expressive on floor is an understatement. She captures the attention of the audience from the start and wins everyone over by the end. She made a huge statement this weekend, and left St. Louis with tons of people aboard the Hernandez bandwagon.
Kocian also made a big statement on night two with her bar routine, as well as with an impressive fifth-place all-around finish. Ashton Locklear earned the national title on the event with a 31.30 combined total, compared to Kocian's 31.15. Both athletes scored a 15.70 on their day two routines, but they differed in difficulty and execution.

Kocian's score was made up of a 6.7 D-score and a 9.0 E-score, while Locklear's 15.7 encompassed a 6.5 D-score and a 6.2 E-score. If Martha Karolyi takes a bar specialist to Rio, it will surely be one of these two swinging superstars.
The next step on the road to Rio is the U.S. Olympic Trials, which will be held July 8-10 in San Jose, California.
