Trinity Thomas just announced her choice to join the 2019 class of the University of Florida and compete for the Gators.
Trinity Thomas is chomping at the bit to compete as a Gator. The star gymnast was deciding between Florida, UCLA, and LSU, and ultimately chose to the Sunshine State.

In the live video, Thomas said she spent a "long time" making the difficult decision to pick between three top gymnastics programs. She then popped a big black balloon and an explosion of blue and orange confetti caused an uproar of cheers and laughter from her teammates.
Thomas then called her future coach Jenny Rowland and Gators teammates, who joined in the celebration virtually via Facetime.
She will join the incoming 2019 freshman class alongside Leah Clapper of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Sydney Johnson-Sharpf of Clermont, Florida; Nya Reed of Hyattsville, Maryland; and Savannah Schoenherr of Columbus, Georgia. It will be a powerhouse lineup for sure.
Congratulations, Trinity!
