Laura Zeng Finishes Top 10 All-Around At Sofia World Cup
Laura Zeng took sixth place in the hoop apparatus final and eighth place in the ball final to close out the first international competition of 2021.
INDIANAPOLIS, March 28, 2021 – Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center took sixth place in the hoop apparatus final (21.800) and eighth place in the ball final (20.300) to close out the first international competition of 2021. Zeng and teammate Evita Griskenas of Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center finished seventh and 27th, respectively, in this weekend’s 2021 Sofia (Bulgaria) World Cup all-around competition. Zeng’s Day 1 hoop and ball scores qualified her to Sunday’s event finals for both apparatus.
Zeng and Griskenas will look to build on their performances heading into the 2021 Tashkent (Uzbekistan) World Cup April 16-18.
