Just about everybody, whether you're a gymnastic fan or not, has seen Hong's viral video of UCLA gymnast Katelyn Ohashi's floor exercise, which has garnered 221,247,824 views!

St. Charles, Missouri, is mostly flat prairie with fertile soil, rivers, and streams, but you wouldn’t know that by the attitude of the LSU Tigers, treating the terrain as a mountain to climb. The Show Me State is the location of the GymQuarters Invitational, a meet that includes seven NCAA teams, in two different sessions. The event is coming up this weekend and will be streamed live on FloGymnastics. 

The Elevate the Stage competitions are really special and exciting series for numerous reasons. First, I’ll share a personal reason why, for me, these meets hold special memories and excitement. 

It might be unseasonably mild in Minneapolis this weekend (balmy low 30s and cloudy), but that won’t stop Shane Wiskus from storming into his first home meet of the season. The 2019 NCAA all-around runner-up, parallel bars champ, and co-Big Ten Gymnast of the Year returns to Maturi Pavilion to lead the Gophers in a home meet against Illinois.  

In just two seasons, Minnesota junior Lexy Ramler has already made incredible strides for her program. She is the first Gopher to be an All-American on all four events, she achieved the highest individual finish for the program since 1990, and she became highest-scoring all-around gymnast in program history. She’s also achieved a lot individually winning the co-runner up spot at 2019 nationals for both all-around and bars, as well as being a Sports Minneapolis Women’s Collegiate Athlete of the Year Finalist at the 2019 Minnesota Sports Awards.

The 2020 NCAA gym season is stacked with talent, and not just from the athletes.

After an injury forced BJ Das to medically retire from the sport of gymnastics during her sophomore year at the University of Washington, the door to her future opened. 

Many gymnasts discover the sport through mommy-and-me gymnastics classes. But advancing out of those introductory classes to dominate the J.O. gymnastics world, qualify to elite gymnastics meets, and make a verbal commitment to the University of Denver? That’s not quite so common. Especially not for two sisters to do it together.

FloGymnastics interviewed a few of the gymnasts who were crowned J.O. national all-around champions this year, and Legacy Elite's Faith Torrez is the latest to be featured.

FloGymnastics interviewed some of the J.O. Nationals winners from last weekend’s competition, and one of those gymnasts is Kiya Johnson. Johnson competes for Texas Dreams gymnastics and took first all-around in the Senior C category. 

After a crazy weekend at J.O. Nationals, only a few gymnasts left victorious, taking first-place all-around in their age group. Chloe Widner of Texas Dreams gymnastics took first all-around in the Senior F category. She also placed well in each event, taking first on floor with a 9.850, first on beam with a 9.675, second on vault with a score of 9.900, and tied for fourth on bars with a 9.700. These four high scores gave her an all-around of 39.125 and won her first place!
