NCAA Week 4 Schedule, Links, & Results
Week four of NCAA gymnastics competition kicks off Friday night with two exciting top ten women's matchups. #10 Arkansas, led by the nation's #1 ranked all around gymnast Katherine Grable, travel to Alabama for their annual Power of Pink meet with over 15,000 fans.
Meanwhile, #3 Florida will host SEC rival, #6 Georgia, in their first home meet of the season. We expect a huge scores from Bridget Sloan and the Gators who are thrilled to finally be home.
Saturday is highlighted by #8 UCLA at #4 Utah. The #1 ranked Sooners will earn their first road score of the season as they take on #17 Arizona.

The Sooners are also ranked #1 on the men's side and will take on Big 10 teams Illinois and Minnesota this Saturday. Fresh off their thrililng last rotation victory at last weekend's Windy City Invite, the #2 Michigan Wolverines travel to the West Coast to take on Stanford and Cal. But perhaps the weekend's most exciting competition will be the Navy Open with five east coast teams including #5 Penn State. You can watch coverage of the Navy Open on Gymnastike.

Bama shines in their Pink Meet and scores a 197.125
Bama shines in their Pink Meet and scores a 197.125
Alabama came out on top tonight with a 197.125 in front of over 15,000 fans in this exciting top 10 matchup. Arkansas finished with a 196.10 after a rough start on bars. #1 ranked all-arounder Katherine Grable of Arkansas took 1st overall with a 39.475. Alabama's Sarah DeMeo was less than a tenth behind her with a 39.40.

In the second rotation, Bama continued their momentum to bars and they hit their first 5 routines but anchor Kaitlyn Clark missed her release and scored a 9.3. Arkansas was able to settle down a little on vault and with a powerful lineup they scored a 49.175, led by Grable's amazing 9.95.
Bama moved to beam where they hit 6 beautiful routines. Kim Jacob was up in the anchor spot and she hit big for her team, scoring a 9.925. On floor, Arkansas was able to build on each routine and ended big with Grable who scored a 9.925.
In the last rotation, Bama danced their hearts out on floor and scored a 49.225. Kim Jacob anchored again and scored a 9.9. On beam, Arkansas finished strong with an impressive 49.025 and no falls, led by Sydnie Dillard who scored a 9.875.
At the beginning of the meet, each Alabama gymnast walked out arm in arm with a breast cancer survivor, recognizing them for their courage and raising awareness for the cause. The first to walk out was Dominique Pegg who led out her mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer last march. Last to walk out was Coach David Patterson with his mother who is also a breast cancer survivor.
