2015 Nastia Liukin Cup
Kiya Johnson of Texas Dreams and Maddie Karr of Twin City Twisters won the junior and senior all-around titles, respectively, at the 2015 Nastia Liukin Cup.

Impressive performances at tonight’s Nastia Liukin Cup lead to an incredibly close finish but Kiya Johnson and Maddie Karr came away with the junior and senior title respectively, both scoring a 38.275. For the juniors, Shaylah Scott finished second and Alexa Al-Hameed finished third. For the seniors, Anna Glenn finished second and Olivia Karas finished third.
Alicia Boren earned the highest vault score with a 9.875 for her Yurchenko 1 1/2, the highest beam score with a 9.75, as well as the highest floor score with another 9.75. Glenn had the high on bars with a 9.575.
Johnson started out solid on floor with a 9.45. She then moved on to vault where she scored an impressive 9.75 for a big full twisting Yurchenko. With the two power events out of the way, Johnson moved to bars. She showed control and earned a 9.45. With beam as her final event, she had a lot of pressure on her shoulders but she handled herself incredibly well. She was poised and nailed her beam routine finishing with a huge 2 1/2 twist dismount and earned a 9.625.
Karr started on bars and scored a 9.475 to start her meet off well. She moved to beam where she earned a 9.4. She had an exciting floor routine and scored a 9.575. She ended on vault where she knew she would be able finish with a solid score and she was right - she scored a 9.825 for a huge Yurchenko 1 1/2.
Scott had a great meet overall but her highlight came on vault where she earned a 9.75 for a Yurchenko full with great height and form. Al-Hameed was particularly impressive on bars where she had a sky-high Tkatchev and earned a 9.5.
Glenn showed her beauty and grace throughout the entire meet but especially on beam where she scored a 9.6. Karas had an impressive level of difficulty on all events and had an amazing Yurchenko 1 1/2 that was nearly stuck. Both Glenn and Karas were competitors until the very end and fought hard for their podium finish.
