The six members of the junior national team -- Olivia Dunne, Maile O'Keefe, Emma Malabuyo, Gabby Perea, Sunisa Lee, and Adeline Kenlin -- competed in the senior session. Alyona Shchennikova from 5280 won the senior competition of the 2017 U.S. Classic after totaling a 54.95 in the all-around on Saturday in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. She was joined on the podium by Abby Paulson from Twin City Twisters, who finished with a 53.1, and Kalyany Steele (CO Aerials) and Luisa Blanco (WOGA), who tied for third with matching scores of 52.9.

Following two sessions of competition, Emma Malabuyo from Texas Dreams emerged as the all-around winner in the junior competition of the 2017 U.S. Classic after scoring a 56.75 on Saturday in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Malabuyo's score actually beat all of the senior competitors for the highest of the day. Maile O'Keefe finished as runner-up with a 54.7, and Grace McCallum totaled a 54.15 in third place.
Kaliya Lincoln of Airborne Gymnastics Training Center won the Hopes Championships' all-around title among the 10-11 age group after scoring a 51.0 on Friday at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. San Mateo's Ui Soma notched a 51.20 to take the all-around title among the 12-13 age group.
The U.S. Classic is just days away -- it starts Saturday in Hoffman Estates, Illinois! With an incredible 73 gymnasts making up the roster, it's time to get excited for the first big summer elite meet of the year!

The 2017 U.S. Classic is this weekend at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The competition, which begins Saturday, is the last qualifying meet before the 2017 P&G Championships being held August 17-20 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Jade Carey is a new senior elite gymnast who trains at Oasis Gymnastics in Peoria, Arizona. She made a big splash at her first-ever elite competition last month, winning all three events in which she competed at the 2017 American Classic held at the Karolyi Ranch in Huntsville, Texas.

The 2017 U.S. Classic is fast approaching on July 29 in Chicago. There have only been six junior elites who have earned international assignments earlier this spring with three of them -- Maile O'Keefe, Gabby Perea, and Emma Malabuyo -- earning spots at both International Gymnix and Jesolo.
