Results: Women's Qualifications
...
Day two of women’s qualifications is complete! USA had the team high with a 235.038, China is in second with a 230.753, and Russia is third with a 228.135.

Simone Biles (USA) had the individual all-around high with a 59.599, followed by Russia's Aliya Mustafina with a 58.874, and Romania's Larisa Iordache with a 58.365.

The top 8 teams will move on to team finals, which take place Wednesday, October 8 at 7am Eastern Time. The top 24 all-around gymnasts (with two per country max) will compete in individual all-around finals on Friday, October 10 at 7am Eastern Time. The top 8 gymnasts on each event (with two per country max) will qualify for individual event finals which take place October 11 and 12. 

For USA, Biles and Kyla Ross qualified for all-around finals. Biles also qualified for event finals on vault, beam, and floor. Ross qualified for event finals on beam. Mykayla Skinner placed sixth all-around but because of the two per country rule, she won't get to compete in all-around finals. Skinner, however, will compete in vault and floor event finals. Ashton Locklear qualified for bars finals.

Results: Women's Event Finals

The women's event finals saw the 2008 Olympic Vault Champion, Un Jung Hong, from the People's Republic of Korea win the gold on vault just slightly ahead of USA's Simone Biles. On the uneven bars, China's Yao Jinnan fought for the gold ahead of teammate Huang Huidan and Daria Spiridonova from Russia. 
After some uncharacteristic falls from over half the competitors on beam, Biles took the gold after another solid performance and Bai Yawen from China came a close second.
Winning her fourth gold medal at this championships, Biles wins the floor exercise title and sadly, teammate Mykayla Skinner missed out on the medals behind Mustafina by just 0.033.

Results: Men's Event Finals
...
On day one of the men's individual event finals Olympic floor bronze medalist, Denis Abliazin, from Russia won his first world gold medal on the floor exercise. Olympic Pommel Champion, Krisztian Berki, took the title on the pommel horse, and China's Liu Yang took the gold on still rings.
On day two, on vault Ri Se Gwang from the People's Republic of Korea took the gold and Igor Radivilov from Ukraine came a very close second. USA's Jacob Dalton took the bronze after two great vaults for him. Teammate Danell Leyva took the silver in the parallel bars event final. Olympic High Bar Champion Epke Zonderland wins his second world gold medal on the high bar and King Kohei Uchimura took the silver in this only event final of this championships.

Results: Women's All-Around Final
...


Simone Biles wins her second consecutive World Championship All-Around title with a huge total of 60.231. Romania's Larisa Iordache took the silver medal with 59.765 and Biles' fellow Team USA teammate, Kyla Ross, took the bronze with 58.232. Russia's Aliya Mustafina and Yao Jinnan from China missed out on medals due to unfortunate falls on their last event.

Results: Men's All-Around Final
...
For another year, Kohei Uchimura dominated and excelled in the all-around winning his fifth consecutive World Championship All-Around title by a whole mark and a half. After Great Britain's, Nile Wilson, withdrew from a wrist injury, Max Whitlock stepped in his placed and fought for Great Britain's top all-around individual result placing second with 90.473. Uchimura's teammate, Yusuke Tanaka, placed third with a total of 90.449.

After a great competition, USA finished with a huge team total of 179.280 to win their first back-to-back World Championship team title in USA's history. China placed second after some unfortunate falls on bars and floor and Russia placed third with a 171.462.

After an exciting competition, China finished with a 276.369 for the gold medal and the title of the 2014 World Champion. Japan finished second just one tenth behind China with a 276.269. USA claimed the bronze with a 270.369.

Day two of men’s qualifications is complete and the teams and gymnasts who have qualified for team, all-around, and event finals is set. China finished qualifications in first as a team with a 362.698, Japan is in second with a 361.609, and USA is in third with a 360.393.

Reigning World Champion Kohei Uchimura of Japan has the all-around high with a 92.165. David Belyavskiy of Russia is in second with a 90.748 and Shudi Deng of China is in third with a 90.63.

The top eight teams will move on to team finals, top 24 all-around gymnasts will move on to all-around finals, and the top eight on each event qualify for event finals. There is a two person per country max.

From USA, Donnell Whittenburg and Sam Mikulak qualified for all-around finals. Individual event finalists are Jake Dalton on floor and vault, Alex Naddour on pommel horse, Danell Leyva on parallel bars, and Whittenburgh on parallel bars.

After Subdivision 5, China continues to lead in the overall team standings while Great Britain had a strong competition coming in second after day one. Yet to compete are Japan and USA and five-time World All-Around Champion, Kohei Uchimura, who will be in tomorrow's qualification.
 
After the two days of qualifications, the top 8 teams will advance to team finals, the top 24 all-around gymnasts will compete in all-around finals, and the top 8 on each event will qualify for event finals. There is a two per country max rule.

2014 World Championships - Men's Qualifications Subdivisions 1-3
China, Brazil and Ukraine top the men's team qualification standings after three of 10 subdivisions at the 2014 World Gymnastics Championships.
China proves their dominance after Subdivison 3 of 10 at the 2014 World Championships in Nanning, China. Battling teams such as Great Britain, USA, and Japan have yet to compete in later subdivisons. China performed clean and consistent routines with difficult skills and complex routines, reaping the benefits as they top the standings by a huge gap ahead of Brazil and Ukraine.
