NCAA Season Kicks Off With A Captivating Cancun Classic

The 2016 NCAA season has officially kicked off with the Cancun Classic, and the Michigan Wolverines came out with a huge 196.975 to earn the win. The Arkansas Razorbacks scored a 195.150 and the Iowa Hawkeyes finished with a 192.350. It was an action-packed and energy-filled meet showcasing phenomenal new freshmen as well as impressive returning veterans on each team.

The University of Arkansas, The University of Iowa, and the University of Michigan will all be dueling it out down at the Cancun Classic to start off the 2016 season with a bang. FloGymnastics will be on-site live streaming the competition and the coverage of the NCAA session will begin at 7:00 pm EST on January 2nd. There are a few key competitors from each team you’ll want to watch out for as we kick off an exciting 2016 season.

The Cancun Classic featured both NCAA and JO sessions. In the college meet, Michigan dominated scoring a 196.975 for a strong start to their season. Arkansas came in second, and Iowa third. The level 9 and 10 sessions were packed with stellar performances from Wildfire, Lakewood Ranch, Tampa Bay Turners and more.
